Week 7 of the 2012 NFL season had “Rivalry Week” written all over it with great division match up’s that will definitely let you know the path your team is traveling this season in chase of the Lombardi trophy. So we’ll start this weeks coverage in St. Louis where my PACKERS…..yeah my PACKERS were looking to make it two in a row to cut into Chicago’s division lead. For the Rams it’s more of the same a young team building for the future , but on any given Sunday you can get beat. The PACK got out of the gate fast as they would get an early field goal and a touch down from WR Jordy Nelson for an early 10 – 3 lead. The Rams did manage another field goal in the first half cutting the lead to 10 – 6 at halftime PACK QB Aaron Rogers would continue with his hot hand hooking up with WR Randell Cobb for a TD and a 17 – 6 PACK lead going into the fourth quarter. Like most young teams do the Rams kept fighting as QB Sam Bradford & RB Stephen Jackson put 14 points on the board in the fourth quarter alone to make the score respectable. In the end the PACKERS defense and offense proven to much sealing the 30 -20 win.
Next we go Jersey Driving as RG3 and the Redskins hit the NJ Turnpike to face the defending champs at home. For the Skins RG3 has proven that he is the real deal and the NFC East has a new and improved version of Michael Vick to deal with for years to come. For the Giants their fans will tell you ……. they aint worried because their the champs…….. ALRIGHT ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That was last year Son ……calm all that down, but I can’t front the GMEN have looked very solid on both sides of the ball this season. The Skins would draw first blood with an early field goal in the first quarter and a TD by WR Santana Moss in the second quarter for an early 10 – 0 lead. The Giants would respond with some points of their own 13 to be exact as the game was tied going into the half. Random question why are the short people in this world always do angry……y’all Giants fans better tell Bradshaw to chill yelling at Coughling and smacking Victor Cruz upside the head before somebody make him go Nite Nite ……. acting like Magic Mike from Friday After Next when the store got robbed……smdh

To the fourth quarter now where both teams offenses were in full gear as the Giants got an early TD from RB Ahmad “Anger-management” Bradshaw for the 20 – 13 lead. After each team turned the ball over the Redskins were able to manage a field goal cutting the lead to 20 -16. On the Giants next possession they had a quick 3 & out which gave the ball back to the Redskins Rookie QB and he would not disappoint making one spectacular play after another ending with a TD pass to WR Santana Moss for the 23 – 20 lead for 1:32 to go in the game. What happened next was Eli proving again that he is an elite QB as he connected with WR Victor Cruz for a 77 yard TD for the 27 – 23 lead late. The Giants D put the finishing touches on this game as they caused a fumble to end the game.

The JETS & the Pat’s were next in a AFC grudge match that just might have been the week’s best game. Ok so this may be a sign of things to come but the Jets had Tebow in the game in the first quarter????? True the play set up and early TD by JETS RB Shon Greene ……but he keeps getting in the game earlier and ealrier JETS fans……..Don’t Judge Me as I’m TEBOWING ……I’m just keeping it real. The Pat’s would answer the Jets score with an 104 yard kick return for a touchdown by CB Devin McCourty tying the game up a 7 a piece. Brady would get in his normal groove finding TE Rob Gronkowski for a TD that would see the Pat’s go into halftime with a 16 – 10 lead.
The second half was a wild one as the JETS offense ….Yes the J-E-T-S offense outscored the Pat’s 16 – 10 not only tying the game but forcing a special teams turnover late that would give them an opportunity to win the game in regulation, but we talking bout the JETS people so you know they didn’t want to get it over easy right …..as they had to settle for a field goal for a 29 – 26 lead. Hey …..hey tell me if you heard this one before Tom Brady get the ball with time on the clock and the Pats needing a score …….What you think happened…..especially against the JETS completion after completion as he lead the Pat’s right down the field for a game tying field goal and …..OVERTIME!!!!!!! During the Overtime the Pat’s got the ball first and again marched right down the field for another field goal and the 29 – 26 lead. Now with the change in overtime rules the JETS would get their chance to score, but the Pats defense stood tall as they forced a fumble from JETS QB Mark Sanchez on a sack ending the game 29 – 26.
Here are the rest of the score from Week 7

In this week’s version of Say Word……some great conversations with the fellas this weekend brought back college memories especially Homecoming Weekend’s. Now I had the honor and privilege to attend an HBCU. Now there are two many to mention , but I will name a few for all my peoples at Delaware State …… Morgan State ….. FAMU…… SC State ……NC A&T …… Norfolk State …… and Howard. I’m sure that all that attend these schools currently or those that are alumni of schools share in their love for their school , the passion they have for the lessons that they learned during their years there , the friendships built and the character formed by everyday college life and the overall pride that you feel once you have chose to go there and when you walked across that stage in front of your family & loved ones. When I stepped on campus I truly understood first that I was someplace different ( the look , the feel, the smell) …… my new home by the sea was nothing like New Jersey , but it was a welcome change. The lessons that I learned overtime and the friendships I built have become an unshakeable part of my foundation. So as the late October weekends come and go all these great universities host their Homecomings to give their current students and alumni a chance to experience their youth and relive it at the same time, so from October 21st – October 28th it’s HAMPTON UNIVERSITY’S TURN ….YEAH THE REAL HU ….THAT’S US!!!!!!!!! Listen I know people Say Word usually has some great underlining meaning , but not this week its all about giving my school the pub it deserves as the best HBCU there is……. not saying that the rest aren’t great …I’m just saying we are in a class by ourselves. So to all my Pirates enjoy your weekend and ROCK THE BLUE & WHITE!!!!! So until next week people Be Easy……You’ve just read The Rucker Report

Good stuff even tho im not a sports kinda girl! Also u kno i appreciate the s/o to our HOME BY THE SEA…the Real HU stand up! BOOM
