Pitch Perfect is a surprisingly great film. The movie is surely inspired by the popularity of shows like Glee and The Sing Off, but it’s more than just singing. This film is laced with unexpected humor from all directions, especially a brash Fat Amy (Rebel Wilson of “Bridesmaids”) and the painfully shy Lilly (Hana Mae Lee) who is barely audible.
Combined with the vocals and sarcastic flavor provided by the movies lead, Beca (Anna Kendrick) this film definitely is worth two hours! It’s funny, crass at moments, an evolving love story, and its all wrapped inside a sweet little singing package! This movie will make a great date night as well as a girls night out! Fellas you won’t be checking the time on your iphones!
