Tyler Perry is starring in a new film and he is NOT in a dress! That’s right, Tyler Perry is talking over the role of Alex Cross- usually played by Morgan Freeman (Along Came a Spider and Kiss the Girls). Before you click away from the post sucking your teeth, remember that filling the shoes of Morgan Freeman would be a feat for any actor. Watch the trailer and let me know if you think Perry can pull this off and if it will be the start of a series of roles for the actor/writer/director.
The film also stars Matthew Fox, Rachel Nichols, Edward Burns, Jean Reno, Giancarlo Esposito, and John C. McGinley. Alex Cross opens on October 19th.
