Almost two weeks ago, I made the decision to purchase the Apple iPad 3 (as we have affectionately named it). I knew I wanted a tablet, and after two ipods (a nano and a touch) I knew that I favored the brand, but it was still some deciding factors involved. Price, quality, reputation, and usability. Which one took the best pictures- I’m a blogger so that is what it boiled down to. The picture quality on the iPad 3 was much better than several tablets that I tested. People told me that you couldn’t watch videos- but the Youtube icon was the first one I noticed already loaded on the iPad.

Someone else told me that you couldn’t view pdf’s on the iPad which was another misconception. My Media Kit is a pdf and I have viewed it from the device. Having owned a an Apple product, I was familiar with itunes, so the friendly reps at the Apple Store at Perimeter assisted me in the initial set up- where I was able to view and download music/movies from my existing account. He walked me through some basic steps and pointed out some cool functions. Make sure you do your own research when buying a tablet or any product. I was given alot of incorrect information and it almost influenced my decision.

I’m sort of clumsy at times and always on the go. So for my first case, I decided to go with the top of the line, heavy duty OtterBox Defender Series Case and of course I needed it in pink. The case came with about 4 separate pieces and the top converts to a stand. I love it. Yes, the case. But more importantly- the iPad. There are so many app choices for anything you can think of.  I’ve had it over a week and have already downloaded more than 30 apps. I think it’s very user friendly and self explanatory. I haven’t run into a negative thing about the iPad yet. In fact, I haven’t used my laptop since I got the iPad. Nice, right? I’m impressed, as I knew I would be. Yay! Stay tuned more…
