My first day at the Further with Ford Annual Trend Conference set the tone for the next few days. Even though we were delayed on the airport runway, due to the President’s flight, we arrived into Motor City rather quickly, After checking in and getting settled we were given the opportunity to visit the Henry Ford Museum before the opening ceremony and dinner.
Bill Ford, great- grandson to Henry Ford shared with us a lot of insight to Ford’s vision from the past and it’s direction for the future in a candid Q & A with David Kilpatrick. The ceremony which was held inside of Ford Field, has a turf made partially from recycled tires as a part of the cushioning base. Bill Ford is also Vice Chairman of the Detroit Lions.
The rest of the evening we spent mingling with each other and discussing what we most looked forward to over the next couple of days. And if you didn’t guess everyone was most excited about driving the new Ford cars and the police interceptor.
