This weekend I finally had the opportunity to try R. Thomas Deluxe Grill off Peachtree Street in Atlanta. The restaurant began as a funky burger joint and has now evolved into a place where carnivores and vegetarians are treated with equal respect. A place that serves high quality ingredients, and I must say that I was impressed.

The place has a funky little look, with a ton of birds lining the building. Pretty cool, something you just have to check out for yourself. The atmosphere was quiet and quaint at 4 pm on a Sunday afternoon, but they are opened around the clock, and I heard it can be pretty exciting!

I had the Curry Coconut Seafood Linguine: Salmon and shrimp sauteed in a creamy curry coconut sauce with carrots, red onions and asparagus. Served over linguine with chili sauce $19.25—- Delicious! Seriously… I’m ready to order it again! The sauce was said to be heavy by the waiter, but it was pretty perfect to me! The chili sauce that it was served with added sweetness to the dish, but it was fine without it. The salmon chucks were actually visible and there were plenty of shrimp!
-Please forgive my cellphone pic, with a battery too use my flash, but you get the picture right?

R.’s Cicken Piccata: Marinated boneless, skinless breast lightly dusted with amaranth flour and sauteed in lemon and clarified butter sauce. Served with Italian-style zucchini, dijon hiziki and garlicky green beans $19.25
If you are looking to try something new around town, this is the spot for you. (Oh, and they serve wine! Yay me!)

I absolutely love this place. The food is great and it is definitely funky and eclectic vibe. I may need to make a trip there this weekend.
It was my first trip,… but I loved it also!
