The Christmas Season doesn’t begin for me until I have heard, my favorite and probably the most popular Christmas tune known, Donny Hathaway’s This Christmas. I remember growing up, my mother would entice us all to the living room with with the fireplace going, hot cocoa warming and the sounds of Christmas blasting from the record player. (Yep, a record player!)
If you guys follow me on twitter then you know that I was struggling to but up my Christmas Tree. But, Saturday, I buckled down, tackled the closet full of huge boxes and began to bring out Christmas. Believe it or not, it started with This Christmas and and ended with a little Mariah Carey- but with plenty of Temptations, Carla Thomas, James Brown, Boyz II Men, Nat King Cole, Jackson Five and Frank Sinatra.
