As I continue on a weight loss struggle, I decided to try to find motivation from my google search. I typed in celebrity weight loss and this is what I came up with… But something wasn’t right. These are some great pics, but it didn’t quite inspire me the way that I thought it would.

How many of them have trainers? Or are able to work out 3 hrs a day because they don’t have to work daily at a nine to five job, and then grind on the main hustle after hours? Is a chef preparing great meals three times a day? Probably so…

So you all the readers of Brown Girl Next Door, ladies and gentlemen can inspire me! Send me your weight loss pictures! Your before and after pics, no matter how great or small your weight loss and tell me how you did it. Let me know the secrets to staying motivated. Tell me what you think the biggest contributing factor of your weight loss was? Was it drinking water? Did you cut out sodas? Let me know…

I want to share your “real people” stories with my readers. You would be amazed at the respect that people have for the average american, who may or may not be on a budget commit to such a challenging obstacle.
Send your pics and stories to blog@browngirlnextdoor.com

I need to go on that “Hollywood Diet”
I ready to shrink too… they all look so much better
I must say I agree with you girl! I’ve posted pics on my blog of Jill Scott, Jennifer Hudson, Kirstie Alley etc. It did motivate me somewhat but then again I had to dig deep inside and found out the source of my problem. One day I just woke up sick and tired of being overweight and I hit the ground running. You have to dig deep and reevaluate yourself and find out what made you gain weight. You also have to realize that you can’t just go cold turkey on everything or deprive yourself. Just eat it and keep going. Keep working out. Keep moving your body no matter what. Take it one day at a time.
For me it’s all about moderation. I still eat my snacks but in moderation. I don’t eat friend foods but like once every other week and I make sure I prepare my food myself. Also always be prepared. Fix your snacks before you leave so when you get hungry or the urge to eat something your snack is already there. Try those 100 calorie snacks because for me they have been a lifesaver seriously!
Remember one day at a time. One pound at a time. You didn’t pack on the weight over night and it’s not going to come off overnight either! The key is DON’T GIVE UP! Keep going!
Oh yeah and for water is always key! I only drink juice once a week and I drink 100% juice. I watch everything that’s in my food, sodium, sugar, etc. I still eat regular food but for me it’s all about portion control. I just got back on my regime August 1st and I’m down 15lbs so far. Lost a total of 16.5 inches on my midsection (waist, hips, and under bust).
@Jarette —- they do look better. We can too!
@Meiqua —- Excellent advice… Taking it one day at a time and definitely being prepared with some healthy options is soooooo key! Thanks for sharing!
