We here at The Rucker Report want to bring you a well rounded view of the world of sports and what’s going on in it. So this weekend we had the big fight in Las Vegas between Floyd “Money” Mayweather vs. Victor “Vicious” Ortiz. The build up for this fight was great as HBO 24/7 didn’t disappoint. The “Money Team” was in full effect with appearances by 50 Cent, Floyd Sr., Uncle Roger, Ms. Jackson (his fiance’ ), and Ray J (Oh, we gonna come back to this one!!!).

The Ortiz camp was just as entertaining and his back story pulled at your emotions. On to the fight –Floyd was in control throughout the fight (just my opinion) and then it happened. Ortiz wrapped his arms around Floyd and jumped in headbutting him (intentionally in my opinion). A point was taken away, Ortiz apologized to Floyd and when the bell rang the judge instructed them to fight.
For whatever reason Ortiz went to apologize again and Floyd kindly supplied him with Popeye’s new promotional 2piece with a biscuit for $2.49 fight over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The post fight interviews were great Larry Merchant finally getting told to “Shut Up & You don’t know ish about boxing” and Mr’ Ortiz asking for a rematch because he didn’t mean to headbutt him……lol.

The action would not only continue but get better as Ray J (Brandy’s Brother) would square off against Fabolous. Ray J came out with the first flurry on the Power 105.1 (NYC) Breakfast Club show stating how he punched Fab in the face , how he let him borrow cars for video shoots, how he was gonna have his dudes violate him , etc.
And to top it off he promised that he would have Fab call in and apologize for his actions by the end of the day. Well Fab responded on Hot 97 (NYC) & Power 105.1 (NYC) giving a totally different version of what took place. According to Fab this all started after Ray J’s MAN CODE #855 violation on HBO’s 24/7 in which he was playing and singing “One Wish” in Floyd’s living room with nothing but other men in sight and yes the camera panned a couple of times to only reveal more dudes.
So this instantly became a twitter topic in which everyone was having a good laugh even Ray J. Then it got serious later that night at an after party where the two supposedly had a fight. Ray J smacking Fab and Fab supposedly yoking Ray J up only to lose his shades. To decide the winner let’s go to the score cards one judge had it 115 – 110 for Ray J because he had the first interview and was going in so much you kinda believed him. The second judge had it 115 – 105 for Fab because his account seemed more accurate and his jab work was more consistant as he continued with the pokes during the two interviews he had (The Little Red Riding Hood joint is classic), and finally the third judge has it 115 – 90 for Fab just because “Wait a minute ain’t that Brandy’s Brother”……..smh. All in all a very entertaining weekend in the world of sports and celebrity foolishness.
