The adult musical Cheezecake Boiz and the Diva presented by Da Seed Company, starring National Recording Artist Tony Terry and introducing Lauren Jones as the “Diva” and featuring Angelica Perez, Queshan Hayes, David Massey and Anthony Davis, returns to the 14th Street Playhouse September 3rd and 4th.
A hilarious, upbeat adult musical comedy, Cheezecake Boiz and the Diva follows the lives of a self-indulgent, pompous and sassy Diva, one seemingly ordinary woman and four decadently assertive Cheezecake Boiz. Freda Edwards, a self-made Diva is shocked when her Latina housekeeper Lexi Montana, who plays the ordinary woman shows up at the same audition for a role in the European Musical Production “Diva In Paris,” causing a bawdy musical controversial battle that would ask the question, “Is a Diva just an ordinary woman?” The Cheezecake Boiz Agency is hired to transform Freda from a selfish, jealous devil into a Diva to love. After all, every woman needs a Cheezecake Boi. The stellar cast delivers an entertainingly witty yet profound theatrical experience about life, love and friendship through original music, dance and dialogue.
