Relaxation is first up on the agenda at Kings of Atlanta Grooming Lounge and Spa in Atlanta. Owner James B. Kynes Jr. emphasized getting the clients in a different mindset, by providing a nice aromatherapy shampoo, hot towel face treatment and a shoulder rub all at the shampoo bowl.

Creating an experience that will elevate grooming services for men of standards, as well as men who aspire to be men of standards is a goal and mission according to Kynes.
Before your hair cut begins, you are completely submerged into a manly spa session. There are various reasons for the cleansing process including allowing the groomer to perform a better cut on a freshly washed head and the sanitary component as well.

Differentiating them from other like facilities, is not only service but in aesthetics as well. The lounge area is infused with the shampoo area and the bar has a granite top. Each barber has their own grooming bar equipped with a sink and phone.
The Kingdom theme runs throughout the spa. Haircuts are called ‘Crowns,’ because when you are a King you are represented by your crown.

Proper Quilsmanship (Quills are hands)– is the service providing for hand detailing, putting the “man” in manicure, they provide a meticulous, no frill treatment.
While sitting on the Throne – The customers will receive a foot exfoliation, foot detailing and a calf/leg massage, with the option to watch Sports Center on one of the flat screen televisions.

Regal Rooms are for detailing facials, such as razor bump treatments, dark spot removals and other deep cleansing services.
“When you are a King dealing with the movers and shakers, you want to look your best. You want your skin to permeate and to look successful,” Kynes expressed. “You don’t go to the club without waxing your car, so you want your skin to radiate as well, when you are meeting new people.”

The three parts of the ultimate lifestyle grooming brands are Kings of Atlanta, Conquer Grooming- product line for Kings, and Solomn’s Quarters- image and wardrobe consulting where someone can help create a style for you or help you enhance the look you already have.
Head of State Room- is a private conference room, available to clients, customers and walk- ins if you are in the area and the conference room is available.

‘The Look Better. Feel Better. Do Better.’ Campaign is an initiative that Kynes developed after uplifting a homeless man by providing kind words and occasional grooming services hoping to sell him an ounce of hope. “You can do better if you want to do better,” he’d say as he tried to instill confidence and change into the gentleman who is no longer homeless.

On last Tuesday, Kings of Atlanta gave back to the community again through the Gateway Center and an organization called Blessed Angels. They brought in a few men who were at a transition stage in their lives to provide them with a few small amenities. Shampoos, facials, haircuts, hope and encouragement were offered to assist in the rebuilding process.

Christine Washington, who once found herself sleeping in her car, after losing her job, is the Founder of Blessed Angels. Before getting completely on her feet she had to go to a transition house, and she knew that she would start her non- profit.
Celebrating 5 years, Christine and her growing list of volunteers supply food and clothing to homeless people two Sundays out of the month working with the Gateway House and Safe House. They set up camp on random weekends to serve food, as well as serving holiday meals each year.

Together Blessed Angels and Kings of Atlanta are giving back to the community. Utilizing their talents to help one person at a time to, look better so they will feel better and will want to do better.
