This one is for us– slated as the girls version of The Hangover, producer Judd Apatow (Knocked Up, Superbad, The 40-Year-Old Virgin) delivers what is sure to be another on his list of comedic classics with Bridesmaids.
Directed by Paul Feig (Freaks and Geeks, The Office), Bridesmaids centers on Annie (Kristen Wiig), who finds her life in disarray.
She’s single, in her mid-thirties, $40,000 in debt, and living with a creepy roommate when she gets the news that her best friend, Lillian (Maya Rudolph), is engaged. Annie attempts to rise to the occassion and be Lillian’s perfect maid of honor, but manages to only create disasters instead.
