Dead Prez decided to include a visuals for their track “The Beauty Within” from their Revolutionary But Gangsta Grillz mixtape with DJ Drama. Their rendition of B.O.B. and Bruno Mars’ track “Nothin On You”, and you can’t help but respect the Brooklyn-Tally duo’s priority of message over their own personal images in the hip-hop world.
They are encouraging women to be embrace their natural beauty, dedicating this track to the Natural Girls Next Door! And being careful not to knock the weave and color contact wearers, but making sure to uplift the natural chicas. I love it.
I think enough videos are dedicated to a certain looking woman.Don’t mistake this for me not loving to put on makeup or blow my hair out every now and then. The images that are usually displayed don’t show just a clean face, no makeup, no lashes. Are losing our authentic selves?(Later post stay tuned!)
