Although I was headed to the Bahamas, leaving for my vacation was difficult. Why?.. Because of my soon to be 2 year old baby Chloe Chanel…. Yep- she’s a dog, but I had not been away from her since she was six weeks old.. Okay- wait, I’m getting a little deep, I digress.

As I packed, and checked my list of things to not forget, charging my camera batteries, and preparing my blog for my absence, I missed my window to take a nap before hitting the road at 3am. We decided to drive to Orlando, and I was told I had to stay awake!
Snacks in tow and ipod touch playlist set. We headed out and I actually stayed awake, most of the drive. LOL

The first ship I see at Port Canaveral is of course a Disney Ship. We pull around to unload the bags and we proceed to the parking lot. Stretching our legs, locating our Dramamine, and preparing to board the ship, we start to make our final calls, not knowing how long we’d have service on our cells. The boarding process was quick and smooth, I was rather impressed with the Carnival staff for a flawless process.

Once on board, we were not allowed to go to our rooms but we were permitted to go to the one place that would become like a second home over the next few days –The Lido Deck. The scene is pretty and inviting. I immediately started to imagine the fun I was in store for.

The birds were swooping in on people while we were docked…

This is the emptiest we would see the Lido Deck during our entire trip.

Lunch was being served and I was pleased at my options- baked fish, pasta, stuffed eggplant, baked chicken and a roll– and this was just the Lido Deck people!. LOL

After we enjoyed our lunch and were finished taking in all of the fresh air. We were soon allowed to head to our room. With a beverage already underway, as well as drinks from the ride. We really needed a nap!

Our Cabin is equipped with a flat screen.

The Loo…

Its kinda tight. But I didn’t plan on sleeping in there- so it worked!

Leaving Florida…
