Chris Tavarez is an Atlanta-based actor and already has great film and TV projects under his belt. He’s starred in “Big Momma’s House 2” with Martin Lawrence and Nia Long, TBS “Tyler Perry’s Meet the Browns”, and the Disney Channel Original Movie: “Avalon High” with Gregg Sulkin.
I had the pleasure of meeting Chris at Chilli’s Private Screening and he is very charming, and well spoken.
He got his start in acting after modeling as a young child when his parents were encouraged by scouts to pursue the world of acting for their son. Chris’ talent was quickly recognized by talent agent, Joy Pervis, who also discovered child stars Dakota Fanning, Kyle Massey, and Lucas Till.
Though acting is his career, Tavarez is also a much sought out athlete. As a senior at Westlake High School in Atlanta, he is the safety and captain of the football team and with more than seven Division 1 scholarships offers to colleges including: Harvard, Duke, Tulane, Maryland, Princeton, and Vanderbilt.
(Recently, Chris committed to Duke University.)
