Registration for The Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race will open at 1 p.m. Today.
For the first time, start wave assignments will be performance-based — instead of randomly assigned. This will help ease congestion, officials said.
Also, participants will be given the opportunity to pick up their race numbers from the Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo at the AmericasMart. Pick-up will take place Friday, July 2 and Saturday, July 3. Those who wish to have their numbers mailed to them can select that option during registration. There will be a $5 postage and handling fee.
The first 45,000 slots will be available through online registration.
The remaining 10,000 will be picked randomly from registration forms mailed in. Those forms will run in the AJC on Sunday, March 28.
