This number is double the number of white women that have never been married according to the ABC special. One question posed was if, women’s standards were too high, or if the pickings were to slim.
The special suggests that there are 1.8 million more black women than black men. If every black man married a black woman, 1 out of 12 still would never make it down the aisle. The women profiled in this special were all decorated with a college degree or two, at the ages of 31 to 34. They discussed lowering standards, biological clocks ticking and stepping outside the race. (The number of black women entering into interracial relationships has more than doubled)
Steve Harvey enters to offer an opinion on the ladies and their standards but admits first that the men of his age did not teach the generation to follow the principle of manhood.
This is such a growing dilemma in our community. More common issues such as cheating, and fear of commitment, and the search for a greener grass were left out- yet very important.
