Messy Monday is so easy this morning. The buzz this morning is about the ever so rude behavior of Mr. Egotistical himself. For those who were under a small cushion last night, or watching relevant television, MTV aired lived the 2009 Video Music Awards.
The show started off with an exciting tribute to MJ that included his sister Janet. As the evening progressed the category for The Best Female Video came up and Taylor Swift beat out Beyonce and a few others. As she began her acceptance speech Kanye jumps on the stage and takes the mike from her and expresses that Bey had the best video of all time!
The crowd broke into a roaring boo that filled the auditorium. Foolish should be his first name. You have to love the seasoned cameraman who knew to pan to Beyonce in the audience, as she held the appropriate look of disbelief and mouthed OMG….
I want to be surprised at Mr. West’s behavior but really I’m not and neither should anyone be. This is the same guy who said on national television “George Bush hates Black People.” Also this isn’t his first outburst on an awards show.
A cry for help perhaps? I wish I could blame his childish and selfish antics on the demise of his mother- but he did it before he lost her as well. I like Taylor Swift. She seems like a sweet young lady, but that being neither here nor there, she could be a b*tch, she deserved her moment to accept her award.
What is going to stop more people from taking situations into their own hands, disrupting order and format.
***Beyonce did try to rectify the situation by giving Taylor the opportunity to re accept her award during her own acceptance speech time slot.
