messy monday…

While I was in search of a book at my local book store, I waited on the customer service desk rep to assist me with the online reservation I’d made earlier that day. I only wanted to pick the book up and maybe be directed to the section so I could browse like topics before I left.
The store clerk was assisting a customer over the phone. She placed the caller on hold saying “One moment, I’ll go and look.” (What in the world goes through my mind as I watch her walk away?)
I was slightly offended. Call me crazy but her at least acknowledging my presence with a “One moment ma’am” may have escaped her from being my messy Monday subject. But she didn’t. Not a word to me.
In my journey to a better me, I am really trying not to be as sarcastic, and definitely trying not to let my face express my contempt for the situation. As a former Wal-Mart employee, we were taught the customer was always right.
You and I know that statement couldn’t be further from the truth- but it was a “we will try” strategy.
I never would have ignored an in store, money in hand customer waiting on a possible telephone purchase. Would you have been upset with the messy clerk, or am I over reacting?

she shoulda said atleast “Wait a minute dammit!!”
The customer is always right lol…..Not! unless I am the customer…..I do think that was rather rude of her.. and why RsVp to still have to wait
